Mercy’s New Level II Trauma Center
Offering trauma patients the best possible outcome … a second chance at life
We offer critically injured patients immediate, life-saving care close to home, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, and continue to care for most injured patients through their entire course of hospital care and rehabilitation.
The Regional Emergency Trauma Center at Mercy Hospital Janesville is the only Level II Trauma Center in south-central Wisconsin—including Madison—as verified by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma. In fact, Mercy is the only Level II verified trauma center south of La Crosse.
In one year, Mercy Hospital Janesville’s emergency and trauma departments see close to 30,000 patients combined—making them the busiest in Rock County. Over the course of the last year there were over 200 trauma activations at Mercy Hospital Trauma Center in Janesville.
