Trauma Prevention

Preventing Trauma

Mercy Hospital and Regional Trauma Center is committed to injury prevention through many community outreach initiatives. We offer programs for all ages, including our popular ThinkFirst program for third and fourth-grade students that features Street Smart, Mercy’s mascot and safety superhero.

CPR and First aid classes for the public can be scheduled through our Mercy Regional Emergency Medical Services Training Center.

Project ImPACT, offered at the Mercy Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center in Janesville, is part of a national concussion screening and follow-up program Mercy offers to schools and head trauma patients.

Members of Mercy’s trauma staff are also happy to speak to local organizations about trauma prevention, treatment and our Level II trauma center.
